ABMP08-13

Swedish massage (stress reduction) :  Consists primarily of gliding and kneading strokes which help to  increase  circulation, induce relaxation and reduce stress.

Deep Tissue massage: Firmer pressure than Swedish, affects the deeper layers of muscle and fascia, for the   purpose of pain relief, increasing range of motion, and deeper relaxation.

Neuromuscular therapy/Trigger point therapyConsists of firm, direct pressure on muscle attachments and trigger points in order to reduce pain.  Excellent for athletes and repetitive motion injuries.  Increases range of motion and decreases pain.

Craniosacral therapy(CST):  Gently and effectively relieves restrictions in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid to improve the functioning of the body’s nervous system. It is effective in relieving pain and dysfunction in a wide variety of problems, a few of which include:  Migraine headaches,  Scoliosis,  emotional difficulties,  TMJ dysfunction,  Fibromyalgia,  traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries ,  stress related issues and PTSD.

Somato Emotional Release (SER):    An adjunct therapy to Craniosacral therapy which helps to free the body and mind of the discomforting side effects of trauma and injury. The therapy focuses on establishing a strong body-mind connection in order for the release of emotional trauma and the resolution of physical symptoms.  When a particular muscle group is injured, a memory of that experience is often formed in the affected tissue.  A small, unconscious contraction that is related to our traumatic experience can form in the muscle, somewhat as a reminder of the painful experience. If not released, this can spread strains elsewhere in the body. Chronic pain can then result, appearing to have an unknown cause when presented to our physician for diagnosis and treatment. It is a highly effective approach for injuries associated with car accidents, physical trauma, PTSD, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as well as many other dysfunctions of the body.

Rossiter:        Knee pain. Low back pain and sciatica. Stiff necks. Sore shoulders. Achy  feet and stiff knees. Hip pain. Arm, wrist and elbow pain. Carpal tunnel syndrome. Elbow tendonitis. They ALL respond to The Rossiter System's stretching techniques, especially if your body hasn't yet been subjected to surgery or injections (and even if it has, these stretches can bring back some of what you've lost ).

Reiki:   Treatment consists of laying the hands on the clients body in a prescribed pattern and allowing the Universal Energy (Ki) to flow through the therapist’s hands to the person being treated, promoting the client’s natural healing abilities . Reiki can be used as part of a massage session or can be a stand alone therapy (in which case the client remains clothed).
